MVPDays was founded by Cristal and Dave Kawula back in 2013. It started as a simple idea; “There’s got to be a good way for MVPs to reach the IT community and share their vast knowledge and experience in a fun and engaging way” I mean, what is the point in recognizing these bright and inspiring individuals, and not leveraging them to inspire the community that they are a part of.

MVPDays’ first run was a four city roadshow in Western Canada covering Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. All four cities sold out. This showed how much an event like this was needed, and how eager people were to get to know their MVPs and the content they had to offer. Even with a growing number of tickets being made available each year, the shows having been selling out ever since.

The Channel 9 show “Interview-with-an-MVP” was spurred out of the show, and has had over 100,000 views to date and #mvphour has had over 5 million social media impressions.

The show has since gone Canada wide and is expanding into the USA in September 2016. MVPDays no longer relies on a mere handful of dedicated MVPs to travel around with them, but leverages local MVP Talent whenever available. This allows MVPs to open lines of communication and mutually beneficial relationships with like-minded individuals in their locale. We have enjoyed many wonderful times getting to know the MVPs in Canada, and are very excited to meet and get to know the talent that the USA has to offer. We are very much looking forward to this new and intriguing chapter of MVPDays.
