I had the privilege of attending the first worldwide run of Veeam’s Certified Engineer Advanced (Architect) training this week. It was filled with some of the brightest minds from around the world. Attending training like this gives someone like myself the ability to interact with peers from my industry, figure out solutions to complex problems, and learn some cutting edge technology.

Some of the highlights from the training this week so far are:

  1. Learning hands on in an architecture / whiteboard framework.
  2. Not being Power Pointed to death.
  3. Having early access to the newest labs from Veeam
  4. Getting trained the right way // Avoid some pitfalls that can easily be avoided in production

When attending training like this I always find that the industry experts in the room add so much value. I have learned a lot by just listening to the conversations happening during the training.

I am in a room that is filled with Vmware vExperts, Hyper-V MVP’s, and some of the brightest virtualization minds in the world. Yay… I guess I am one of those.

Way to go Veeam. This has been a week off that has been well worth my while.
