We’re celebrating our fifth meetup of the Calgary Windows Server and Azure Hybrid User Group — and this one’s special! Not only do we have a killer lineup of technical sessions, but we’re also recognizing the release of three influential new books from leading voices in our community.

Whether deep in the weeds with migrations, brushing up on AD, or diving into hybrid tooling, there’s something here for everyone.

We’re thrilled to spotlight three new releases from our presenters:

  • Fundamentals of Active Directory – Hands-On Lab Guide

🎤 Speaker Line-up

  • Emile Cabot – “Fundamentals of Active Directory + Book Launch”
    Emile will walk through key concepts and best practices from his new AD Fundamentals guide, sharing lessons from the lab and tips for success as you modernize identity infrastructure.
  • Cristal Kawula – “What’s New in Windows Admin Center + Hybrid Integrations”
    Cristal returns with a fresh look at the latest Windows Admin Center release, focusing on hybrid integrations with Azure Arc, VM management, and advanced monitoring.
  • Dave Kawula – “Troubleshooting ADCS Migrations and Failed Certificate Templates to Server 2025”
    Dave will walk us through the maze of Active Directory Certificate Services migration pain points—especially when certificate templates fail post-migration to Server 2025—and show us how to fix them quickly.

Each talk will run 30 minutes, with time afterward for questions and discussion.
