With the recent feature update that allows admins to deploy UWP apps via the System Context in Intune, we have to ensure that a UWP app isn’t already installed for the user. If this is the case, unlike deploying an existing Win32 app in Intune, the app will not come under management and will not install.

The process to uninstall a Store app is similar to deploying one. For this example, we’ll be uninstalling the Adobe Photoshop Express app from user profiles.

Step 1: Open Edge Chromium and navigate to https://intune.microsoft.com

Step 2: Click Apps -> Windows -> Add

Step 3: In the Select app type blade, choose Microsoft Store app (new) and click Select.

Step 4: On the Add App page, click the Search the Microsoft Store app (new) link and search for Adobe. Select Adobe Photoshop Express and click Select.

Step 5: On the App Information blade, ensure the Install behavior is set to User and click Next.

Step 6: Add a user or device group to the Uninstall Assignments using the correct Add Group button, then click Next.

Step 7: Review the app information, the required group for deployment, and click Create.

That’s it, that’s all. Adobe Photoshop Express will be removed for all users. If you’re doing this in preparation for deploying UWP apps as System, ensure the removal has completed on all systems before proceeding!
