Jeffrey Snover is a Technical Fellow at Microsoft and the Chief Architect for the Enterprise Cloud Group which includes Azure Stack, Windows Server, System Center and Operations Management Suite. Snover is the inventor of Windows PowerShell, an object-based distributed automation engine, scripting language, and command line shell. Snover joined Microsoft in 1999 as divisional architect for the Management and Services Division, providing technical direction across Microsoft’s management technologies and products. Snover has over 30 years of industry experience with a focus on management technologies and solutions. He was an architect in the office of the CTO at Tivoli and a development manager at NetView. He has worked also as a consulting engineer and development manager at DEC, where he led various network and systems management projects. Snover is a frequent speaker at industry and research conferences on a variety of cloud, management and language topics.

Scott Guthrie is Executive Vice President of Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise Group, where he is responsible for delivering the development platform for Windows Azure, as well as the .NET Framework and Visual Studio technologies used in building Web and server applications. A founding member of the .NET project, Guthrie has played a key role in the Microsoft developer space since 1998. Today, Guthrie manages the development teams that build the developer platform for Windows Azure, Windows AppFabric Server, BizTalk Server, IIS, ASP.NET, WCF, WF and the Web, and Web Service and Workflow features of Visual Studio. Guthrie graduated with a degree in computer science from Duke University.

Meet The Man in the Black Shirt. Donovan Brown is a Senior DevOps Program Manager on Microsoft’s US Developer Division team. Why is DevOps one of the hottest topics? Because it hurts the most. Luckily, Donovan’s unofficial tag line is #RubDevOpsOnIt and he’s here to make it all better. Before joining Microsoft, Donovan spent seven years as a Process Consultant and a Certified Scrum Master. Developer Tools are his thing. Donovan has travelled the globe helping companies in the U.S., Canada, India, Germany, and the UK develop solutions using agile practices, Visual Studio, and Team Foundation Server in industries as broad as Communications, Health Care, Energy, and Financial Services. What else keeps the wheels spinning on The Man in The Black Shirt? Donovan’s also an avid programmer, often finding ways to integrate software into his other hobbies and activities, one of which is Professional Air Hockey where he has ranked as high as 11 in the world.
